The Force is Strong

This current round of the Instruments is yet another amazingly fun affair. The creators pulled out all the stops when it came to designing items to fit with the Star Wars theme. While I am not the biggest sci-fi nerd out there (I use the term with love), there is definitely something that draws a person into the epic universe of that franchise. With that being said, I did my best today to put together a 21st century look with some futuristic flair. This look is definitely accessible for those of you who might want to stay modern while pulling in a space age essence. This kind of look is perfect for the extraterrestrial dance club.

My Virtue

Something about this dress makes me feel like a snow princess. Pictured are two out of the three lovely offerings from Lassitude & Ennui at The Secret Affair. The sleeves and gown come separately so you can wear them with the gown or add them to another outfit (which could come in handy for mix and match looks or style challenges, hint hint). I wanted to highlight these items in particular because I am always stunned by the fantasy items created by L&E. Since the image was somewhat monochromatic, I decided to spice it up by wearing a make-up set from MUA. By the way, this photo was taken at the sim which will hold the Miss Royalty Pageant auditions and runway challenges. If you are a fashionista and have ever thought about being in a pageant, it is a great way to show your personality and innovative style. I’d encourage you to check out the facebook page and throw your hat in the ring for the February auditions.

Frostbite

Today is 21Shoe! It’s my first time blogging anything for it. In case you are not familiar, it’s an event where you can buy two shoes for the price of one. I do follow several of the designers, but I felt like the two pairs from Glamistry really stood out the most to me. Of the two color possibilities, I am particularly drawn to the silver and purple ombre version which I chose to blog today. There is also a gold and brown ombre version to pick out from the hud. Remember: these pairs are exclusive for today only so you must buy them from the store TODAY. I thought the metallics went nicely with Pixicat’s Frostbitten Dress from the Secret Affair. If you couldn’t tell, I had a lot of fun experimenting with the lights. The gorgeous ones in the top photo were created by keke and can be found at Kustom 9.
