Fashion in the Market

Well, this is my final post before I leave on my three-week vacation! More on that tomorrow. There were several gorgeous red items that designers created recently, so I wanted to show a few today. Also, Summerfest just recently opened. It has one of the cutest sim builds.

Visiting the Harambee set-up at SLB12 is what inspired this photo. They had this great little market stand set-up. I’m definitely drawn to places which are inspired by the continent or particular cultures of Africa, given that I have a degree in African Studies. Sadly, I have never been able to visit. Some day it WILL happen, but for now I get to travel there via Second Life!

Sassy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Anyone out there pining for a serious beach day? I definitely want some time by the water, but sadly I come from a land-locked part of the country. Second Life is wonderful for experiencing all the things we might miss.

For one day only, Fifty Linden Friday, the WideCropTop in Aztec is available at Pixicat. If you recently bought her bathing suit from Summerfest (you can see it in this post), then you will have already been exposed to her Aztec prints. This is my favorite pattern that she has produced so far. It goes without saying that all the patterns she has are of the highest quality and there is guaranteed to be something that speaks to you.

Also today I’m wearing an entire Midbar set from Finesmith. You will have seen me wearing the bracelet before. The best part about this set (outside of the fact that it makes a statement) is that you can change the gems, metals and materials to match the outfit you’re wearing. In that way, it never looks the same twice. It’s an especially good time to stop by Finesmith right now because the Muse Festival is in progress. There is a sale AND hunt going on as well as several group gifts available. The hunt lasts until July 1st. As an aside, if you take a look at the images in the store, you might spot one that I did! It is such an honor that Yula chose to display it. All in all, there is a lot to see and buy at the store right now.

A Tuesday at the Beach

OK, everyone needs to visit Summerfest RIGHT NOW to pick up this amazing bathing suit from Pixicat. The Aztec-like prints in particular really spoke to me. It was difficult choosing exactly which I would show, but I think the purple looks great with my skin and hair colors. There is literally any pattern or color you could image from stripes and solids to florals and pineapples. This is a great investment because you can change it up all the time or even mix-and-match suits! Also today I’m showing several of the items from the new round of Cosmopolitan Sale Room. The hair and nails will be available for the next two weeks, but the sunglasses are only available today because they are part of Hello Tuesday. They come as part of a larger outfit, so you can get a major bang for your buck. There are other great designers like LivGlam, Promagic and Finesmith, all which offer exquisite items again and again.
