One More Before I Hit the Road

It’s my last blog post before vacation! I will be gone from July 28th-August 17th so I wanted to make sure to show you these items before I jet off to Eastern Europe again. This outfit makes me feel extra chic for summer. It is a super dressed-up kind of casual look that utilizes items from Pixicat and Chop Zuey. Pink Swan (preview)

This will have to be a short post for today. There is a great deal going on in my RL for the next eight days, so I have put together this entry in between the rain drops. Putting together this dancing photo was a lovely experience, especially playing with the poses and lighting. I’m sure most of you are anxiously anticipating the next round of the Arcade gacha. Don’t forget to play the Pixicat machine! All Denim

As you can see, I am having fun playing with some of the features in the Black Dragon viewer. I won’t go on too much about it, but it works well for photos. It’s been a while since I got to see SL with such crispness.

My inspiration for today’s look was quite simple. Both the shorts and the jacket come in a black denim sort of texture and they coordinate so well together that it looks as if they come from the same outfit. Usually I wouldn’t do a full denim look, but it’s very autumn and chic, while being the perfect casual outfit.

Royalty

It’s not often that I dress up and wear something medieval for the blog; which is strange, actually, given that I’m a huge fan of shows like Game of Thrones and I used to role play in another multi-player game. Anyway, I couldn’t help but be obsessed with this gown made by Pixicat. It stands out especially for it’s exquisite detail and I truly feel like royalty. As you can see, I’m even standing waiting for the next joust to begin. The gown comes in multiple colors, I chose black because I like the contrast of it with gold, but there are actually some very vibrant colors available. Beckoning Spring

Given that the weather is warming up where I live and the birds have come back singing, I’m ready for spring to finally be here. In a way I kind of feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast with the blue and yellow. The colors make me very happy. There are a mix of event items for this look and the photo was taken at Obsession Exposed Studio and Gardens. It’s an amazing sim with lots of locations for great shots. I go there regularly.

Frostbite

Today is 21Shoe! It’s my first time blogging anything for it. In case you are not familiar, it’s an event where you can buy two shoes for the price of one. I do follow several of the designers, but I felt like the two pairs from Glamistry really stood out the most to me. Of the two color possibilities, I am particularly drawn to the silver and purple ombre version which I chose to blog today. There is also a gold and brown ombre version to pick out from the hud. Remember: these pairs are exclusive for today only so you must buy them from the store TODAY. I thought the metallics went nicely with Pixicat’s Frostbitten Dress from the Secret Affair. If you couldn’t tell, I had a lot of fun experimenting with the lights. The gorgeous ones in the top photo were created by keke and can be found at Kustom 9.

The Essence of Purple

Here is my first official blog photo taken using my new photography friend. I’m still working out the kinks and trying to find the lighting effects I like best, but I’m having a lot of fun using it. The emphasis in this look is definitely on the gown and it’s beautiful ruffles. Harder to see in the photo is the glitter along the edge of the top and each ruffle. Trust me, you will like this when you see it in person.

In Winter

While the color is beautiful, I don’t wear a great deal of pink. Pixicat changed that with her gown, at least for this post. This gown is available at Uber and it’s very special in my eyes. Because of the cut and draping, the gown looks sensual while demure at the same time. I like the way it creates a shape for the avatar body. Also, it’s perfect for this time of year – long sleeves are definitely in right now! This look is almost too cute to handle, and I love how the cupcake nail polish and adorable Truth hair knock it over the edge. It’s fun to go out of my comfort zone for this blog.
