Add some Appeal

Add Some Appeal
Today I feel like a movie star wearing these items from GIULIADESIGN, ANE and MUA. There’s even a hint of vintage style. Together they make a spectacular ensemble. If I were a starlet, this would be the perfect outfit to wear to dinner with my friends or significant other. Scroll down a little further if you would like to see the detail of the clutch and the MUA nail appliers. As an aside, if you couldn’t tell already, I really love this windlight. I promise at some point to tell you where it’s from. It can go to the spooky side, but it also makes a great evening atmosphere for general use.

Dress, clutch and hat: GIULIADESIGN – Eleonora
Scarf: ANE – Light Scarf at the mainstore for MIX

Macherie

Macherie
This is the last day of The 24 by Siren Productions! I have also commenced my second and final pose modeling shift for the event, so I thought it made sense for me to show you what I’m wearing. Due to a little glitch in SL, I made my outfit into four colors. The HUD will allow you to do three typically. I love this inventive outfit from Zibska. To honor her as a designer, almost every item is from that brand. Run over to The 24 RIGHT NOW before it closes!

Outfit: Zibska – Cherie exclusive at The 24
Shoes: Zibska – Paule Ankle Boots
Hair: Zibska – Nan Deux (great gift from Hair Fair 2014)
Pose: MUA from the Mexico set
Face make up is from Zibska and Nuuna

Under the Tuscan Sun

undertuscansun-finalThe setting for today’s blog image made me think of the Italian countryside, at least like I have seen in movies. As for my own adventures in Italy, I have only been to Rome.

I decided to show you the chic outfit available from D.E. Boutique at the Instruments. There are a variety of colors and patterns, but I chose the more sedate of the ones available. However, I urge you to never be afraid of color! Deborah has a very nice design aesthetic and chooses great prints for all the items she creates. This is the last week for the event, so be sure to hurry as the July round finishes.

Top and pant outfit: D.E. Boutique – Yeri Minimal from the Instruments
Necklace: Baubles – Tarnished Petal Necklace from the Instruments
Hair: Mithral Apothecary – Balisse
Shoes: Lassitude & ennui – Floral pumps (available at the store for Mix)

Stella

seuss-final

When I was created this look last night, I started to picture Stella from Orange is the New Black wearing it. She is a person with the kind of edgy vibe that could pull this off.

I had fun taking photos in the outdoor set created by my friend Selena. It was done to serve as a backdrop for the TEOM Magazine style challenge, which several schools are participating in. For anyone who knows children’s literature, you can probably tell what this setting represents.

Top: Pixicat – Vibrant Vest from C88
Hair: MINA – Bas
Necklace: Molichino – Tri-Necklace (this is a past Fifty Linden Friday item, but it was also made in silver)

Stormborn

The theme for the June round of The Instruments is very exciting for me and today I’m bringing you a sneak peakery. I love the television series Game of Thrones. The book series is also great (although I will admit I have only read the first two). Two of the items Byrne made for the event are an amazing corset and head piece. She styled for the Targaryen family, of which there is only one member now. Sorry for the spoiler! Wearing the gorgeous copper dragon scales, I certain feel like the Mother of Dragons. The Instruments will open next week.

Corset: BYRNE – Daenerys Corset from The Instruments (coming soon)

Poppies

It’s been stormy and dreary in my hometown lately, so I thought a photo with flowers would brighten the mood. In putting together this look, I definitely took inspiration from my childhood. The dress is youthful and sweet, and I wore the kind of long hair I had as a child. It was so long for a few years that I could easily sit on it. It was nice to create a dreamy image today.

You’re such a Doll

I apologize for the delay in posting an entry wearing this outfit. The edgy frills are a great design feature on this skirt from BYRNE. She designs some great items. In the back, should you decide to wear the outfit, are teal spikes in the same pattern as the rest of the garments. My inspiration for this photo was a girly, floral nymph enjoying a beautiful day in the sun. I have been craving nice weather, and thankfully that has been answered recently. We skipped spring around here and went straight to summer.

As an aside, this photo was taken at the sim called It All Starts with a Smile.

Dress (top and skirt), bracelets and earrings: BYRNE – DollyBrocade Outfit from the Instruments
Pose: Posesion from the Marina set
Head piece: LODE– Magone Crown
Lipstick: MUA – Peacock from Cosmetic Fair

Virtual Style at Penumbra Fashion Week by Ghee

penumbraghee-final
Here is my second post for the Penumbra Fashion Week. I chose to go with quite a girly look this time. And I stayed away from a lot of black! I hope you will check out this ankle-length dress from Ghee, available in several colors. What I like most is that it comes in two layers; the lace is separate from the silk piece underneath. That makes not only for a great look together, but also the option to mix and match.

Pose: MUA from the Camilla set
Necklace: ANE – Forbidden Fruit Necklace
Head piece: LODE – Snapdragon from Shiny Shabby
Hair: Lamb – Babylon from Collabor88

Countdown to Penumbra Fashion Week

slackgirlforpenumbra-final
It’s time to gear-up for the Penumbra Spring/Summer Fashion Week. I’m honored to be blogging for them this year for the first time. While the event does not begin until Saturday, May 16th, I wanted to provide you with a sneak preview. This blog post features Penumbra 02 by SlackGirl. While the dress is certainly the highlight item, if you buy this set it also comes with the earrings and shoes featured here. To add further polish to the look, I have included a clutch (my go-to type of purse) and worn a chic ponytail. This dress makes me feel super feminine and I can’t help but notice that I look extra curvy. That never hurts.

For more information about Penumbra Fashion Week, which runs until May 23rd, please visit their website You will find a list of designers and the specific runway shows that are happening.

Eye of the Storm

sculptural
First, I would like to apologize for how long it has been since my last entry. Between Lent, Holy Week, Pascha (Orthodox Easter) and my mouse breaking, it has been tough for me to blog. I found my drawing tablet today which finally allowed me to create the image for today’s entry. It took many hours to get all the parts together. The hair I am wearing is an incredible sculptural piece by Machoire that will make you front and center. As you know, Machoire is a go-to shop for avant garde. I am also showing the MUA make-up item for Fashion for Change. The event is about half-way through and ends on the 25th. So far it seems to be going well. Not only are the items incredible, but the sim itself looks amazing too. Major kudos to Eles for her hard work.

Lipstick and eyeshadow: MUA – Water from Fashion for Change
