Two Shoe Ideas

Today I have a quick post for you to show a few pairs of shoes that I am currently in love with. The two of them are DRASTICALLY different from each other. I have decided to show them both so that you can have a sense of what a classy casual business shoe looks like, compared to something completely out of the box and avant garde. If you want to have an inventory with diversity and one with items in it that will serve you well for any occasion, then it’s important to have different genres in there. That’s why I advocate that you should have some of the more chic classic pumps like the ones featured here, but also should not be afraid to buy a few stand out pieces that could be used in avant garde, haute couture, sci-fi or even fantasy.

Embrace the Colde

Embrace the Colde

Over the long weekend, I took four days to visit New York. During those days, I visited a lot of my old haunts. The interesting innovation and the upcoming fashion week inspired me to style this look. It certainly isn’t quite like anything that would be found in the city, but the vibrant blue, whimsical heels and structured corset bring out small details of some of the outfits I saw people wearing. These are the sorts of items I wish I owned in real life. Actually, the Colde Heels from Machoire remind me of the fashion from the Hunger Games. In fact, there is a exhibition in Times Square which features many of the costumes from it. I could see the character Effie being able to pull off these heels with no problem.

Hope you enjoy this interstellar photo! In some very important news, Machoire is now making skins. There are two available in fantasy patterns. Below the cut you will find credits and a close-up shot of the accessories I’m wearing from L&E, the eye pieces from Katat0nik and the skin detail.

Stay True

Back in my earlier days of blogging, I used to love putting pieces together in unexpected combinations. It’s fun for me to dress up a casual outfit with something fancy. Machoire has given me that chance today. These Ryx boots are Machoire’s most recent product and are available in several different color combinations. Also, you will have a customization hud included, as with other designs.

The inspiration behind the setting for this photo was the blue of the top and of the shoes. It also comes from my incessant thoughts about summer vacation. I literally can’t wait. It’s like I’m jumping out of my skin with excitement. It’s in less than 2 months and can’t come soon enough.

Eye of the Storm

First, I would like to apologize for how long it has been since my last entry. Between Lent, Holy Week, Pascha (Orthodox Easter) and my mouse breaking, it has been tough for me to blog. I found my drawing tablet today which finally allowed me to create the image for today’s entry. It took many hours to get all the parts together. The hair I am wearing is an incredible sculptural piece by Machoire that will make you front and center. As you know, Machoire is a go-to shop for avant garde. I am also showing the MUA make-up item for Fashion for Change. The event is about half-way through and ends on the 25th. So far it seems to be going well. Not only are the items incredible, but the sim itself looks amazing too. Major kudos to Eles for her hard work.

Never a Mystery

In between firestorm crashes, I had fun creating this atmospheric image.

It’s a joy for me to show interesting and haute couture pieces. The Ore Hat from Machoire encompasses the whole face and surely makes a strong statement. I hope you also like the top I am wearing, which is part of an outfit by Snowpaws. It probably seems like I say this a lot, but it’s my favorite outfit so far that Carrie has created.

Window to the Universe

Short post for today. I am in love with this head piece from Wicca’s Wardrobe. There is also a dress that you will find at The Instruments. Also, this necklace was sent to me a few days ago by Machoire. It’s another dramatic piece, which as you can see covers my chin. I think it would make a cool accessory for your next avant garde outfit.

Rituals

ritualsThere is a new designer on the scene, Machoire, that I am showing today. If you like to admire and wear couture pieces, then you should visit the store. I am wearing the purple of this hat, but you can find it in several different colors. What is a wonderful touch is the HUD that comes along with it which will allow you to change the colors of the pearl (the part on my forehead), the jewels around the edge and the metal.
