While taking the photo for today’s entry, the blog title was a literal thought that went through my head. As you can tell, I’m quite a nerd. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan so anytime blue is involved with something, I immediately think about Ravenclaw House. If I were to be sorted anywhere, it would be there.

Before the title of this blog post worries you… I have named it after the region in which I took the photo. This is just one small taste of the LEA grant exhibit. More information can be found on Ziki Questi’s blog. It was an enchanting place to visit and I’m glad to have had the chance to see it. The items from Artizana enchanted me as well, and they inspired me to feel like taking an adventure. The available patterns and colors, of which there are many, are fresh and spirited. The items will be available as soon as The 24 Event begins. I’ll keep you posted!
The beautiful background for this photo is the Fairy Shire at Obsession Exposed Studio. You should take a visit because you will see lots of cute hobbit holes. The cricket was my inspiration to go somewhere a bit mystical.
The August round of the Instruments is coming to a close. You have a few more moments to grab everything you like. The designers for this round created colorful, yet delicate pieces that you are sure to enjoy. All will help you make a fashion statement.

I decided to post a classic mix-and-match look. So much of the time on this blog, I show great items available at the latest events. While that is all well and good, I have read in articles that a variety of fashion is appreciated. Only one of the items in this post is recent. The rest of it is a mix of mesh and prim. That is a point I would like to make. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to completely throw out system clothing, prim items and even sculpt pieces in favor of going completely mesh. I love mesh, but the reason for keeping other pieces? Because mesh has a habit of not layer well on top of other items from the same material. A small example of this is the belt I am wearing in this photo. It is a resizable prim belt, and therefore, I was able to make it large enough to fit over the pants and sit in exactly the right place under the edge of the shirt. My only caveat to this is that I believe the system/prim/sculpt pieces we do keep in our inventories should be of very high quality and impeccable textures. Anything less, go ahead and throw out!
On another note, I consider this outfit to be more adventurous than fits with my normal style. Truthfully, I play it safe more often than not. But this time, the pants inspired me to play around with color. Usually I stick to 3 colors per outfit for the ease of styling and coordination. However, I wanted to step out of the box with these autumn hues and I encourage every stylist and model to do the same. In the end, it’s likely going to look very sophisticated. I have already had many compliments on this ensemble. It has been saved in my inventory as a favorite outfit.
