All Denim

As you can see, I am having fun playing with some of the features in the Black Dragon viewer. I won’t go on too much about it, but it works well for photos. It’s been a while since I got to see SL with such crispness.

My inspiration for today’s look was quite simple. Both the shorts and the jacket come in a black denim sort of texture and they coordinate so well together that it looks as if they come from the same outfit. Usually I wouldn’t do a full denim look, but it’s very autumn and chic, while being the perfect casual outfit.

View from Heaven

Today’s outfit is dramatic. I was inspired by the “Heaven” setting from Obsession Exposed Studio, a place I visit quite often. Despite the name of the outfit involving the word “eath,” the addition of the wings brought it to a higher level – no pun intended. The combination of the pieces gives the outfit, and whoever wears it, a strong presence. All of the items here look great when materials (advanced lighting mode) are turned on.

Name that Tune!

On social media I have noticed a lot of people wearing this dress. It definitely seems to be very popular, and for good reason. Lore did a wonderful job in designing something out of this world and fun. You can wear it to any party and also to a club. There is something about the pattern that screams freedom. I have been wearing it since she sent it to the blogger group. Yup, guilty. I think that’s what matters when you’re blogging – it’s important to show outfits that you are in love with and wear for days on end.

I also decided to wear a Genesis Labs head for this entry. It probably seems strange since I don’t look like I normally do in photos (although my husband says my avatar looks different in every single image he sees of her). The Emily head was too gorgeous not to wear. It makes me feel incredibly pretty. It’s a softer look than I usually have and that is what drew me to it. This is the blink version, which is a rare in the gacha. If you get any of the lipsticks in the gacha machine, they can be worn with it, which made me incredibly happy when I found out. The base skin in every color option is available in the box that the head comes in, but there aren’t appliers. You can get those separately. I was actually able to use the Maitreya Lara body with the Glam Affair skin tones and change it to the right tint to match reasonably well with the head. If you wear the Lara, I recommend trying that first if you aren’t interested in buying the appliers. Obviously, appliers will give you the best effect, so if you plan to wear this head A LOT, then definitely buy them.

The Chic Lecturer

This is the outfit I wore yesterday to give a lecture at TEOM Academy about applying for pageants and preparing for live auditions. In actuality, I have been wearing this dress since the Kustom9 started. The combination of the dress and shoes create a very high class look. It made me feel like a chic professor while I stood up in front of the students to talk – even though I was only a guest speaker. If you wear this dress, you are guaranteed to feel comfortable in the lovely fabric and the way it is draped, but at the same time you don’t have to give a second thought about whether or not you look good. In this ensemble (dress, hair and shoes), you will be stunning, hands down.

Stella

When I was created this look last night, I started to picture Stella from Orange is the New Black wearing it. She is a person with the kind of edgy vibe that could pull this off.

I had fun taking photos in the outdoor set created by my friend Selena. It was done to serve as a backdrop for the TEOM Magazine style challenge, which several schools are participating in. For anyone who knows children’s literature, you can probably tell what this setting represents.

Frostbite

Today is 21Shoe! It’s my first time blogging anything for it. In case you are not familiar, it’s an event where you can buy two shoes for the price of one. I do follow several of the designers, but I felt like the two pairs from Glamistry really stood out the most to me. Of the two color possibilities, I am particularly drawn to the silver and purple ombre version which I chose to blog today. There is also a gold and brown ombre version to pick out from the hud. Remember: these pairs are exclusive for today only so you must buy them from the store TODAY. I thought the metallics went nicely with Pixicat’s Frostbitten Dress from the Secret Affair. If you couldn’t tell, I had a lot of fun experimenting with the lights. The gorgeous ones in the top photo were created by keke and can be found at Kustom 9.

The Essence of Purple

Here is my first official blog photo taken using my new photography friend. I’m still working out the kinks and trying to find the lighting effects I like best, but I’m having a lot of fun using it. The emphasis in this look is definitely on the gown and it’s beautiful ruffles. Harder to see in the photo is the glitter along the edge of the top and each ruffle. Trust me, you will like this when you see it in person.
