December is full of amazing events. To kick off my coverage of the Peace on Earth Hunt (beginning December 1st) and the Jewelry & Accessory Expo (beginning December 5th), I have several gorgeous gothic items to show. Get your shopping lists ready now because there is no way you will be disappointed with the selections.
A special note about the J&A Expo is that there will be fashion shows throughout the month of December. My philosophy is that jewelry cannot be truly appreciated in photos, even though it looks stunning. To get a full idea of how something looks, you will want to see it in person. Therefore, attending the fashion shows of your favorite designers is a good idea. Of course I hope the images I present are adequate, but I can only hope that they will give you an idea of what you might like best.
In regards to the Peace on Earth hunt, it is one of the most spectacular and widespread hunts on the grid. This is it’s 7th year running! That’s quite an accomplishment for any grid-wide event. As always, the items are free. In recent months I have focused on paid or low-cost items, but I feel that this hunt is so amazing that I needed to participate as a blogger. It is an honor to have been chosen. Please don’t hesitate to visit all the participating stores, and if you are so inclined, patron them.
Gown: Junbug – Ophelia in sunshine from Fit for a Princess
Necklace: The Forge – Beach Bum Necklace available at Uber
Hair: Exile – Rising Tides available at Uber
Crown: Tentacio – Crown, a gacha at The Chapter Four
Pose: ChellatrixMOTION from the Venus set
This gown is gorgeous! Because I’m a brunette in Second Life, I decided to pay homage to Bell from Beauty and the Beast by wearing the sunshine version of the dress. This really is one of my favorite gowns ever from Junbug because of the details and also the delicate pattern all over the yellow folds of fabric.
Thank goodness it’s Friday! Which means Fifty Linden Friday is happening and you can find many gorgeous items for sale. As usual, Junbug has produced a realistically detailed piece. I love in particularly as I have been a Pride & Prejudice fan since I was an adolescent. My love for the story (and the original BBC miniseries) was so strong, I even married a man with Mr. Darcy’s Myers-Briggs personality type! To better show the pieces, I’m wearing the wonderful updo known as Devinna from Truth Hair. It has been in my inventory beckoning for me to wear it. And now is the perfect time. I like the option of wearing a bow or not with the headband. Again today, as with Tuesday, I’m showing the Kallisto skin from Glam Affair. The Jamaica tone is available at ROMP. Also, MUA has the Elle nail appliers for slink. These are not the only color – while I chose a neutral, there are others and they all come with the crisp white tips. Even though I blogged the necklace the other day as well, I wanted to show you in a close-up so the details are more evident.
