Show A Different Side

Using a couples pose by yourself can be challenging at times, even though I did it last month. Lola was kind of enough to participate in my entry today so I could show a different side of this hunt pose than what can be seen in the original vendor image.

D’fiori

Well, I have returned from my time away. It was a great vacation touring through four countries. Also, in particular, I love when I spend time in Romania. For today’s post, I am showing you the gorgeous gown from Modern Couture, which is available at the Instruments. Also, I’d like to share with you information about the photography contest to celebrate the one year anniversary of the event. You will have until August 6th to submit your interest. This contest should not be passed by, especially since the grand prize is receiving TWO images from the incredible photographer Skip Staheli. Birds, Butterflies and The Peacock

This gown is one of the most gorgeous I have seen on Second Life. It comes in this blue and also has a yellow base/skirt version called Goldfinch. The birds from the LODE gacha at The Chapter Four fit perfectly with this Peacock gown and I have some butterfly friend with me that came with a hair from Atomic. The earrings are Glam Affair for Fifty Linden Friday. They are worth way more than that given their high quality, so get them while you have the chance. I am also wearing the Haste Collared Bracelet which is chic and I think it could match many different types of look whether casual or more on the formal side. Sometimes I think we can be surprised at how versatile items are. The bracelet comes with a HUD so you can change the metal texture.

Serene in Snowpaws

Since I don’t celebrate Halloween (gasp), I won’t be doing a Halloween entry today. If you would like to see some posts with darker styles, I have done several for the October found of the Instruments. Now, even though I don’t do anything for Halloween, I have loved looking at other blog posts. Also, I am quite a fan of decorations so I have been admiring the houses in my neighborhood who went all out. Hope the kids have a great night.

I need to make sure you are all aware of a few sales which are going on. Hopefully you heard about the booN sale (which I believe is now over). That is when I bought this hair. How could I not? I love the fact that booN has both commercial and more haute types of hairstyles. This is the last day of Designer Circle Round 83. Amarelo Manga has multiple items available there – the top and miniskirt, sunglasses and a blue bag. The latter I am not showing here. Today’s look was a good excuse for me to show-off a necklace I have been coveting for several weeks from Hex Appeal and the hair from Ohmai that I bought recently at Hair Fair. The Eli hair, along with the others made by Ohmai at the event, has the regular version and the one shown here with a “tweeter” which is animated and beyond cute. I love this so much as a summer look!

Mrs. Darcy: Junbug, Truth, Glam Affair & MUA

Thank goodness it’s Friday! Which means Fifty Linden Friday is happening and you can find many gorgeous items for sale. As usual, Junbug has produced a realistically detailed piece. I love in particularly as I have been a Pride & Prejudice fan since I was an adolescent. My love for the story (and the original BBC miniseries) was so strong, I even married a man with Mr. Darcy’s Myers-Briggs personality type! To better show the pieces, I’m wearing the wonderful updo known as Devinna from Truth Hair. It has been in my inventory beckoning for me to wear it. And now is the perfect time. I like the option of wearing a bow or not with the headband. Again today, as with Tuesday, I’m showing the Kallisto skin from Glam Affair. The Jamaica tone is available at ROMP. Also, MUA has the Elle nail appliers for slink. These are not the only color – while I chose a neutral, there are others and they all come with the crisp white tips. Even though I blogged the necklace the other day as well, I wanted to show you in a close-up so the details are more evident.

Out on a Summer Day

The summer is a perfect season for scenery and party photos. I feel ready to frolic outdoors in my Unwritten jumpsuit from LivGlam. This is just one of the outfits available at the store for Hello Tuesday. The accessories I’m wearing, many also from LivGlam, are my current obsession. Shhhh, I have been wearing the Vogue shoes AND the Summer skin from Glam Affair constantly over the last week. Also, I’m wearing beautiful earrings from Fetch and I love the camera from Ane. It’s a great prop and comes with the arm pose.

ORAGE is the new black

The art pieces created by Orage Creations are some of my favorite items from the brand. The title of today’s look is “Black Rose.” The back of the head piece has extra details that look like the inside of a flower. On another note, I have been very loyal to League skin for quite some time. In the last few months, however, Glam Affair has released Jamaica tone skins for several events (such as Fifty Linden Friday and Collabor88). Part of me is thinking of changing skins for a while, but it’s tough when you established a look nearly two years ago. Anyway, I hope you will take the time to check out all of these events and items.
