Jedi Mind Tricks

Jedi Mind Tricks
Dressing up for today’s post truly sent me into another world. I positioned myself in a scene, as if I were a princess running away from potential captors. But instead of actually running away from something, I decided that this image tells the story of a princess running toward a possible future as a Jedi (even though technically women can’t be Jedi, I guess). It’s OK to re-write fiction for the better.

The Instruments October round is winding down, so here is one of the last looks I will be showing. This is an edgy outfit from Ghee. It will be available today and tomorrow before the event shuts its doors to allow set-up for November.

I also wanted to take the opportunity to plug the fall 2015 collection at Ghee. While I am not showing it here, I wanted to make sure that readers are aware. The new collection is incredibly colorful and it continues with the late summer items that Ghee was putting out which have been inspired by patterns found in Eastern Europe. That is one of the reasons this collection appeals to me. Cultures with rich histories also show it in their clothing. I hope you will take the opportunity to visit the store and see what is available for purchase.

For Monica’s credits, please see her blog post.

In nearly 3 years of blogging, this is my first collaboration post with someone. I’m elated that we made this happen. Moni is a long-time blogger and has also been a model. She works with me at TEOM Magazine and has been a great part of the team. I feel that she is fast becoming a friend and someone with whom I can share my thoughts. So many of her blog posts have been very informative and I have actually been following her blog and photos in some capacity over the last year (at least). I encourage you to follow her blog not only to see her sense of style, but to utilize it as a useful resource.

She blogs for Ghee so this particular brand was the perfect chance for us to do something together, since I now work for them as well. That’s something I am very happy about – being a store model for Ghee. In the past I had the opportunity to model with Bea Serendipity for a couple of vendor ads, and fingers crossed that opportunity might pop up again. After being accepted as a store model, she sent me an IM which included the dress and boots in this photo. It’s my pleasure to be able to blog them; some of my favorite items so far from Ghee.

At this time I also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has been reading, following and liking my posts. I appreciate everything you do, because it certainly gives me a sense of purpose when it comes to keeping a blog and sharing my style.

Virtual Style at Penumbra Fashion Week by Ghee

penumbraghee-final
Here is my second post for the Penumbra Fashion Week. I chose to go with quite a girly look this time. And I stayed away from a lot of black! I hope you will check out this ankle-length dress from Ghee, available in several colors. What I like most is that it comes in two layers; the lace is separate from the silk piece underneath. That makes not only for a great look together, but also the option to mix and match.

Warhol Moment

ghee-fashionart-final
Today’s blog photo might win the award for the most colorful image that I have created. Not only do the bright colors makes sense due to Warhol’s art style, but they also make sense given that Ghee is a vibrant and cheerful brand. Because of the era that Warhol lived in, I felt the call of Studio 54; that explains the rationale for sitting on a disco ball. To continue with the bright theme, I added metallic heels from Loovus. The hat, dress and heels are all from FashionArt by Inovare. Follow me there!

Inspired by Folklore and the First Miss Virtual World Runway Challenge

Today was quite the day! We had the first runway challenge of the 2015 Miss Virtual World pageant. I was incredibly nervous the entire time. Except for a minor mishap and needing to pose for longer than expected, everything went fairly smooth. The lag definitely hit us when we did the finale! All those ladies brought me close to crashing with their beauty. All the misses were very impressive in their styling and it was inspiration. What an honor to walk with them! In my look I tried to bring some flavor of Romanian folklore, or at least a general Eastern European vibe. It’s really overwhelming to be the first Miss Virtual Romania. Here’s my look! Since it has some new releases, I thought I’d feature it.
