I’m wearing another dress from Fashion for Change! I’m particularly excited about this one because it is a take on a traditional Romanian national costume. And anyone who knows me or reads this blog knows how much I love Romanian culture and what a supporter I am of Romanian designers. So far I have only found a few on SL! For me, the gifts of the people in Romania are boundless and that includes some very creative minds, like Lore/Lyrical, Alina and Ireth, all of whose designs I have now featured at some point or another. I am very serious about being Miss Virtual Romania! Thank you, dear readers, for being so open to my thoughts on something I love. And please, don’t forget to visit Fashion for Change since it closes its doors very soon. Giving to charity while shopping for great fashion should not be missed.
First, I would like to apologize for how long it has been since my last entry. Between Lent, Holy Week, Pascha (Orthodox Easter) and my mouse breaking, it has been tough for me to blog. I found my drawing tablet today which finally allowed me to create the image for today’s entry. It took many hours to get all the parts together. The hair I am wearing is an incredible sculptural piece by Machoire that will make you front and center. As you know, Machoire is a go-to shop for avant garde. I am also showing the MUA make-up item for Fashion for Change. The event is about half-way through and ends on the 25th. So far it seems to be going well. Not only are the items incredible, but the sim itself looks amazing too. Major kudos to Eles for her hard work.
When Rose asked me if I would blog one of Athena Courture’s gowns for the Fashion for Change event, I had to say yes. And no, she didn’t even have to twist my arm. It was an easy answer because I love that she has created designs based on a country of her heritage. I have been to Greece once before, and it led me to develop a deep appreciation for the culture and history (AND the food, shhh). Also, all the Greeks I met were kind and welcoming. They really took care of us. We had an amazing time during our trip. In a few months we are going back, this time to northern Greece.
It might seem strange that my avatar appears to be crying in this image. I added the rose petal tears because I miss Greece and cannot wait to get back. Time seems to be crawling. Also, by the way, the Greek word for Greece is Hellas, hence the blog post title.
Only a few more days until Fashion for Change opens! I think you will love this gown when you try it on. The draping is lovely.

I’m incredibly excited to talk to you today about the Fashion for Change event. It runs April 11th-25th as a charity project for Womankind Worldwide. There will be entertainment, exclusive items for sale and fashion shows. It’s a great honor for me to support Miss Virtual World, Eleseren Brianna, with this event in some way. I love charity work or helping the community locally, nationally and internationally. My real life job every day changes people’s lives, so the least I could do is pitch in to help Eles do the same for Womankind Worldwide. Until she brought this charity to the forefront, I had never heard of it before. During the next few weeks and the duration of the event, I will show you more great designs. I’m looking forward to it and hope you are too! Landmark will be published when the event opens, so check back here on the 11th.
