There has been a lot going on in RL so I apologize for the post delay. I had fun coming up with the concept for this blog entry. The items from POEMA gave me the opportunity to create a sultry look and show-off some of the recent bento rings created by *elise*.
I wanted to add a quick review about the skin applier I’m using. There aren’t too many great appliers available for Genesis Labs heads. The best-looking appliers are from Genesis Labs themselves and other places such as ItGirls. When E. Vary recently produced 3 Genesis Labs head appliers, I was over the moon. The creator of my system skin doesn’t make Genesis Labs appliers. I wanted to find something which had similar contouring so as to look at least inspired by my system face. For me, I believe E. Vary achieved what I was looking for. The face has strong contouring, especially on the cheeks, has a freckle option AND a good skin texture. The tone was also very similar to my system skin. The only two things I hope will be updated are the removal of the faint neck seam and some softening/fixes to the knuckles on the hands. What I especially love about the face applier is that you can have the skin with eyebrows which gives you an extra tattoo layer available if you need it. For the body applier, it includes 3 cleavage options. I never had that with my system skin, so I’m quite happy. As you can tell, I overall love both the face and body applier and it was worth getting because the skin makes my avatar look chic.

When I signed in-world yesterday after work I was surprised with an invitation to the POEMA bloggers group. I had applied a few weeks ago but didn’t hear, so to be honest I assumed I hadn’t been chosen. When that invite came through, I cheered! It’s so exciting to be chosen and I can’t thank Matilda enough. This is my inaugural entry with POEMA. If you’ve followed my blog and/or photos, you know that I love moles. As a model striving for a unique look and someone who is covered in freckles and moles in real life, having access to mole appliers is a must in Second Life. What’s even better about these ones from POEMA is that they were made specifically for the Genesis Labs heads. They go on the tattoo layer of the version 3 bento heads. I also took the opportunity with this photo to showcase a recent release from Chop Zuey, which as always is glamorous. I like the minimalist color combination of gold, white and black.

I apologize for my lack of posts this month.
Right after getting my new computer, on which Photoshop hasn’t yet been installed, I fell ill. The cause initially was unknown.
This past Friday night (May 12th), I went to the ER with abdominal pain. After waiting an hour, screaming in agony, it was found that I was bleeding to death internally. I was rushed into emergency surgery and the team at my local hospital saved my life. They are not considered a trauma level hospital, but because of the volume of blood in my abdomen, they had no time to send me by helicopter to the nearest trauma hospital 40 minutes away. Thankfully, I’m a universal receiver, so they were able to give me 1 liter of blood from their very meager supply.
After surgery I stayed in the hospital 2 days until I was stable. I’ve been at home on medical leave for the last week in order to recuperate. My blood supply is slowly coming back but I’ll be anemic for another 6+ weeks. It has left me with limited energy and the pain and headaches have made it impossible to focus on blogging.
Again, please accept my apologies for keeping you hanging. I’ll be posting my next entry on May 21st.
As you can see, I went crazy on the gems and fine jewelry today; but nothing wrong with that. It’s exactly the kind of thing I love to blog.
Easter is almost here and this month has been non-stop getting ready. I’m jumping onto the blog to show you a few things before the holiday gets even more hectic. I hope you’ll take some time to stop around and pick up the items. Also, I’m wearing the Maitreya bento hands with the Maitreya body. Typically I don’t wear them around all over the place, but I haven’t taken them off since they were released.

Today is the opening of Catwalk’s Trunk Show retail area! Unfortunately, I’ll be away and unable to participate in the subsequent runway shows, but I wanted to make sure that you got a peek at some of the outfits before I leave. As you can see, I’m channeling a contemporary Princess Leia with this look. The sleeves on this dress are what drew me to it – they certainly make a statement. As a side note, if you’re a tall girl like I am, I recommend wearing tights with this dress because it’s mini!

It’s my last blog post before vacation! I will be gone from July 28th-August 17th so I wanted to make sure to show you these items before I jet off to Eastern Europe again. This outfit makes me feel extra chic for summer. It is a super dressed-up kind of casual look that utilizes items from Pixicat and Chop Zuey.
