Today is the opening of Catwalk’s Trunk Show retail area! Unfortunately, I’ll be away and unable to participate in the subsequent runway shows, but I wanted to make sure that you got a peek at some of the outfits before I leave. As you can see, I’m channeling a contemporary Princess Leia with this look. The sleeves on this dress are what drew me to it – they certainly make a statement. As a side note, if you’re a tall girl like I am, I recommend wearing tights with this dress because it’s mini!

Today I was out marching with thousands of other people. And boy do I wish I’d had some great boots like these Lantana Ankleboots from Glamistry. Also, these look super fierce!
It’s my last blog post before vacation! I will be gone from July 28th-August 17th so I wanted to make sure to show you these items before I jet off to Eastern Europe again. This outfit makes me feel extra chic for summer. It is a super dressed-up kind of casual look that utilizes items from Pixicat and Chop Zuey. Hope you have a great few weeks and I’ll be back in August with more wonderful creations to show off.
If you follow me on Facebook or Flickr, you may have noticed that Rose and I are in the midst of organizing a charity event through Miss Royalty. All proceeds will go to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. It’s important to me that I share exactly why I’m doing this.
My father lost his favorite uncle to Alzheimer’s in the 1990s. Eugene had been a military veteran AND a cancer survivor, only to then be stricken with a disease that took so much from him. He was an upstanding citizen and loved his community.
Then, in 2008, my grandmother died due to complications related to severe dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association, you may or may not know, also supports caregivers and sufferers of that disease. For me, she was a rock, a lioness in my life. Until her dying day, she somehow always remembered me, despite the memories and personality taken from her. Even though it was years ago now, I’m still grieving. I’m crying as I write this.
I do this, “Miles of Memories” for them. And I do it for all the loved ones who are lost. If we work hard enough, some day we will know a world with a cure.

Hello lovely readers, event organizers and designers!
Tomorrow I am leaving for a three week vacation during which time I will visit some amazing countries in Eastern Europe. While I am far away, you may still see me on Second Life as time permits (which could be sporadic), but I will not have my laptop. Unfortunately, that means I am not able to post any blog entries because I will not have photography editing software.
Thank you for understanding! I will see you again on July 20th.
So because Comcast is the worst company in the United States, I will be without internet until Tuesday night. I will not be able to make any blog posts until then. If you see me on SL, that means I’m logged in via my phone app lumiya. I have no way of taking photos or going to work. Thank you for understanding and I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
