A story from the modeling world below the cut. It’s been a while since I posted one.
For this entry I had fun playing with windlights. It’s a treat for me to show off the awesome Lia Bento Head from Vista Animations. The range of facial expressions and emotions that come with it is comprehensive and the included HUD allows you to pause the expression if you want to use it for a photo. The lines and texture of the face look particularly great in photos. I used a free shape from Denver’s Shapes and modded it to look the way I wanted. I’m also wearing a skin from 7 Deadly Skins which is currently the November group gift. Today is the last day to get it! What makes me particularly happy is that the skin and makeup layers of the head are omega enabled, which I haven’t had with my previous heads. What do you think: should I make this my regular look from now on? I’m definitely thinking seriously about it.
It has been a while since I showed some current gifts, so there are two in this entry for those who either like gifts or might not have too many Linden dollars around right now. I think overall many people still start buying fewer Linden dollars since the exchange rate has decreased by 20%.
Jewelry: Chop Zuey – Maui Maui set, a gift at Aloha Fair
Makeup: Zibska – Spring Gift, available by joining the Versus Magazine Readers group
Pose: Posesion from the Roma set
Shirt: Valentina E. – Knotical Top available in-store only today for Fifty Linden Friday
Hair: Envogue – Dianne
Backdrop: MONS – Hello World!
Considering the haircut and jeans, I wanted to go a bit urban today. I think I achieved that with the addition of this sweatshirt from Pixicat which was created to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the store. I’m happy it’s been around so long – the items Areve makes are incredible.
As I was preparing this blog post, I happened to stop by a shopping event where I ran into someone from a place I used to work. Without delay she said something petty. When it comes to those situations I always feel like silence is best because there is no way to really respond without drama. That’s the beauty of SL – if we run into challenging situations, we can simply ignore the person and teleport out of the location. I only wish it were that easy in real life.
Top: Pixicat – Hoodie.Cropped
Pose: Posesion from the Aute set which is available at The Darkness Monthly
Hair: Lock & Tuft – Tegan (past Fifty Linden Friday item)
Jeans: Addams – Laura High Rise Jeans
This has been quite a month for me. I’ve been sick with something or other for a good portion of the time. Despite having a bad headache the other day, I couldn’t miss the photography class at Ferosh Fashion Institute. We played around with projectors and that inspired my blog post for today featuring the Chanel Set from Chop Zuey.
The set is ornately covered in pearls, diamonds, onyx and reddish purple and green gems. I tried to mirror a few of the colors in the lights that I used. There are three different sizes of earrings; here I’m wearing the smallest ones. There are also three ring possibilities which you could wear on the right hand all at the same time. Chanel is a classic set that will stand the test of time.
Staring out onto a world without pain
While all the anguish of centuries rages inside your bones.
The light from outside is barred from filtering through the window
Darkness wraps around your shoulders like
A warming blanket to prevent hypothermia.
