Flashback 1950s

Flashback 1950s

The weather is changing where I live. It’s like we skipped to summer, which makes the top I’m wearing today all that more relevant. I wanted to show the two cute items I got at C88 this round and also talk about my newest BIG purchase – the WowMeh mesh body.

The top is called Bardot from Tres Blah and you will find it in four patterns. The cherries are so classically 1950s, or at least the way it’s portrayed nowadays. My grandmother would probably say cherries were too risque back then. The hair is Thelma from Truth, not to be confused with a similar hairstyle from Clawtooth (which is also gorgeous). There is a bow option, but that doesn’t fit with my style at the moment, so I chose to wear it without. Either way looks great and I’m so happy there’s an option.

The WowMeh body… What can I say? The HUD system is really great with the ability to create alpha layers so mesh clothing can fit over the top. Unfortunately, not ALL of my mesh clothing works with it. Of course, none of the skins I currently use (from League and Glam Affair) have the WowMeh appliers, so I grabbed the gift from WoW skins yesterday to wear with it. If you join the group for 350L you have access to another skin which has the WowMeh and other mesh attachment appliers, including for Slink. Outside of the lack of appliers (which will be remedied soon) my only complaints about the body are the inability to make alphas that are even more customized. There is no option for a between-the-legs naughty bits alpha. Also, if you do not wear a mesh head, unfortunately with some windlights you will see a seam between the neck and head. What I do like is the smoothness of the body edges (less need for liquify when editing pictures), the way it molds to the system body and how much better it fits with Slink hands and feet after the newest update.

Can’t wait for more great WowMeh updates! By the way, the price has been rising pretty rapidly, so it might be worth investing in the body now, even if you don’t have appliers for it yet. That’s what I decided to do. Over time I will see if the gamble was a good idea.
